Nyamuch Gatleak Phar Both is a senior student at Juba Brilliant School, operating within the POC3 (Protection of Civilians Camp) for refugees. She arrived at the camp in 2021 with her mother and older sister. They belong to the Subei people group from Dilling County, located in the remote Nuba Mountains of South Kordofan, Sudan. While their primary language is Subei, many members of the group also speak Sudanese Arabic. Nyamuch's mother also cares for five children from their extended family. The lack of access to water and electricity in the camp presents a significant challenge, preventing Nyamuch from studying in the evenings.
